Subject: From Texas, as promised! Date: 10/10/05 Dear Mr. Wain, I hope I've not waited to long to write. You may remember me and my wife Gail. We saw with great pleasure your show while in Branson during the weekend of October 1st, 2005. We sat up close, and you thrilled me when you said I look like Sean Connery. Far more exciting was when you invited me to the stage to act out one of the characters from "Sons of Katie Elder". I got goose bumps (no kidding), when I slipped on John Wayne's actual warm-up jacket, and read the part from the written words (my part was in red, and I'm NOT color blind, ha!). John, I meant it when I said, " If anyone in the audience would just close their eyes, put out of their minds all the everyday clutter of everything around them, and concentrate on your figure, your voice and everything they liked about John Wayne, should they open their eyes,...and, if but for a moment...they would see the Duke, again ", because it happened to me!
